2011: Marengo Cave

During a Fall weekend in 2011 a group of men went to Marengo, Indiana to spend the weekend on a retreat. As part of the weekend we took a tour for the Marengo Cave. I created two double page spreads to share all of the items from this adventure. I chose matching background papers to help tie the pages together.
The lefthand page above is in blue to match the Marengo Cave postcard on the page and the blue sliver of rock that is on the page – but it has the same design as the righthand page which is in red to match the postcard on that page. The pictures are of some of the men playing Kubb and just playing around.
The righthand page has a patch, ticket, postcard and a brochure that is attached to the outside of the plastic page protector so that it can be opened to read.
The second set of pages is on the same red background paper:

The lefthand page has a map of the cave, and I used a transparent sticker that I bought at the gift shop as the title bar for this spread. The lefthand page has pictures that I took in the caves. I also put a picture of the historical marker on the page as it helps to give the history of the location without me having to journal.
