2021: North Carolina Road Trip – Big Cypress Lodge – Memphis, TN – 2
This is the second scrapbook spread from our stay at the Big Cypress Lodge in the Bass Pro Shop at the Pyramid in Memphis, TN, and features pictures from inside the pyramid and inside the Lodge. I used background cardstock from an outdoor pack and got a little kick out of the title on the left-hand page – “Camping”. The left-hand page shares a picture of the entrance to the Lodge check-in area, as well as a picture of our balcony from the floor of the Bass Pro Shop inside the Pyramid. If you ever have opportunity to stay here, I recommend the experience. I will share though that you must plan far in advance as the rooms book early. I would also encourage you to pay more to get an inside room with a balcony overlooking the store floor as you can enjoy seeing this incredible interior all night long if you wish, even after the store is closed.
The right-hand page has pictures from inside the store, the bar/lounge of the lodge, my mother standing on our balcony, and in the middle, a stained-glass window that was inside of our room. The gold pieces with the words “Big Cypress Lodge” on them are cut from our wristbands for entrance to the Lodge, and the placement of these allowed for the center picture to be a rectangle instead of a square, which allows for all of the stained glass to be in the picture.
Recently, for most of my scrapbook creations I have also created videos that show me putting them together and talking about the experiences as well as the techniques that I am using. So please enjoy watching this spread being created and assembled:
