2018: Gatlinburg Vacation – Miscellaneous
This is the last page of our memories of our trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge in the Fall of 2018. I usually create a page or two like this at the end of a series of pages that celebrate a long trip in order to capture pictures and ephemera that didn’t warrant a whole page or spread.
I chose wood background pages to fit with the woodland theme of most of this series of pages. I bordered the pictures in brown to help them stand out against the busy background page.
In order to display the map on this spread I cut a strip to run across the top of the pages, and then used metal brads to attach it to the background paper. This creates a strong attachments to the page which then allows the map to be hung over the strip so that it can be removed and opened by the reader.
Since this is the last page of the spread I put the final metal pine tree brad on this spread to tie them all together.
