2011: Chicago Navy Pier

2011: Chicago – Navy Pier

2011: Chicago Navy Pier

While visiting our friend Stephanie in Chicago we also went to the Navy Pier, where we rode the Ferris Wheel, and went to the Circus Shanghai. These two pages showcase those two experiences. I cut out the Ferris Wheel and the Circus tent using my Cricut Machine and placed them on a blue background which was the dominant color in the photographs which I wished to place on the page.

I put the tickets from both events on the page as these chronicle the location, date and time, which mean that I don’t have to hand write that information on the spread. I used a corner punch to round the edges of the photos.

This is a fairly simple spread and was early in my scrapbooking experience. I think that if I were to do this spread again, I would change some things: First, I would put a border on the right and left of the page, and secondly, I would make the cutouts smaller to help fill voids next to the pictures rather than make them big and put the pictures on top of them.
