2011: Colorado Vacation – Georgetown and Mine Tour

We elected to take the Mine Tour as part of our Georgetown Loop Railroad ride, which adds about 1.5 hours to the experience. The train stops about halfway up the mountain, and you can get off, take the mine tour, and then get back on the train when it comes by again.
The left-hand page has pictures from this part of our adventure and the tickets for the train and the mine tour. I used a preprinted background page that has old letters printed on it for this side of the spread.
The right-hand page has pictures and ephemera from the time that we spent in Georgetown after the train ride. The brochure is attached to the outside of the plastic page protector so that the viewer can open it to read. I also put a patch and a gold covered Aspen leaf on the page. Georgetown is known for all of its Aspens, so I thought that this would be fun. I attached it to the page with crafter’s glue and then also used a brad to keep the ribbon in place. While it does have some thickness, it does not seem to be damaging the plastic page protector.
