2016: Blue Man Group

2016: Blue Man Group
As part of our Spring Break Road Trip we went to see the Blue Man Group in Chicago in the original Briar Street Theatre. The Blue Man Group is an amazing experience that I would encourage everyone to experience at some point in their life. I have to admit that I am a big Blue Man Group fan, and I have been to their show in Vegas, Orlando, and in Chicago 5 times!

For this spread I had to use a blue background!  You will notice the white stripes on the page.  These are actually ephemera from the show.  I won’t spoil it for those who have not yet been – but if you have seen the show you know how the show ends, and these are some of the remnants that we saved from that to make it on to these pages!  I affixed these by wrapping them around the edges of the cardboard and holding them down with tape.

I also added the ticket (to show the date of the event on the page), and the program – which is affixed to the outside of the plastic page protector so that they reader can open it to view it.

Embarrassingly, I just noticed (A year and a half later) that I put the same picture on the spread twice!  The years that we have had exchange students I always create a set of books for them, and a duplicate set for us to keep.  I went and looked, and sure enough, in our copy this picture is missing!  Oh well – the boys are probably fully embarrassed that I put this crazy picture of them in it anyway and am now posting it for the whole world to see!
