2017: Ziibiwing Center
In December 2017, my son and I made a trip up to Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, and I had the opportunity to visit the Ziibiwing Center, which shares the the story of the Saginaw Chippewa tribe, who are the original settlers of this part of Michigan.  If you are ever in the area I encourage you to visit this engaging and sobering museum.

I based the color scheme of this spread off of the colors on the brochure, which is attached to the outside of the plastic page protector so that it can be opened to view.  I was able to find the logo of the Center online and used my Cricut Machine to cut it out for this spread.  you can see that I placed it over the spread split in order for all of the elements to fit on the page well.

I used my sewing machine to stitch the pattern on the spread borders to help hold them in place.
